Documents Required for Visitor Visa (TRV)

Based on official IRCC guidance and travel agent sources, prepare the following:

1. Valid passport: With at least one blank page and ≥ 6 months validity.

2. Digital photos: Two 35 × 45 mm photos (white/light background).

3. Online application summary: Uploaded via IRCC account.

4. Receipt of fees: Proof of CAD 100 visa and CAD 85 biometric payment.

5. Biometric Instruction Letter, after submitting.

6. Proof of financial sufficiency:

   • Bank statements (6 months)

   • Salary slips / ITRs

   • Investments, FDs, property documents

7. Travel itinerary:

   • Travel dates and flight bookings

   • Accommodation reservations 

8. Proof of intent to return:

   • Employment leave letter, business docs, studies, family/property ties .

9. IMM 5645 – Family information: needed if applicable .

10. Use of Representative Form IMM 5476 if using an agent.

11. Documents for minors (if applicable): travel consent, custody documents.

Application & Processing Steps

1. Create an IRCC account online.

2. Fill out application and upload all documents.

3. Pay the fees (visa + biometrics).

4. Receive a Biometrics Instruction Letter—visit VAC for fingerprint/photo.

5. Submit passport to VAC or by courier once visa is approved.

6. Processing time is typically 15–30 days for visitor visas
